International Office Depot Cup

Last weekend in Sporta we had an international cup, it was a lightning tournament. That means that the tournament lasts from 1 to 3 days. It was a four team tournament, the teams were: Sporta Puntos Soccer, Achik, Comunicaciones, and Fesa. Fesa is a team from El Salvador that has won a lot of international tournaments and is really good.

We had to play three games, and the two teams that had the most points after the three games would go to the finals. Sporta didn’t got enough points to be in the final but in the tournament we got to a lot of conclusions about the team and how we play.

Here are some photos from the tournament:

New motocross jump!

Last week I went to the San Jose Pinula motocross track with my brother and my dad. It was our second time there and we wanted clear every jump that we could. Last time that we went to that track it was all muddy so it wasn’t the best way to ride. But this time it was all dry so we could all go faster and have more control on the dirt bike.

When we started riding we did two recognition laps at first and then we started clearing every jump. We managed to clear most of the jumps, and the ones that we didn’t were really big so we are hoping we can do it the next time.

Here are some videos from a couple of jumps:

First and second jumps:

Both of the jumps in the video were really hard at first because they were a little big. But then we we started clearing them, it couldn’t be easier because you get used to it.

Soccer 7 formations

This time I am going talk about the best soccer 7 formations for me, which one is the best for defensive playing, possession of the ball, and attacking.

The best formation for a defensive playing in 7 v 7 is a 3-2-1. This is for me the best defensive formation because you have most player defending, the defenders and the midfielder, and when you need to attack, you have the forward and the midfielders.

Then, the best formation for the possession of the ball is a 2-1-2-1. This is a formation where you will be able to have the control of the ball a lot more. You can defend with 3 or 4 players, attack with 3 player and in the midfield you have 3 players also. So you will have possession of the ball in the midfield.

And the best formation for a more attacking play is 2-1-3. It is a formation where you have more players attacking than defending. You can attack with 3 or 4 player, the forwards and the midfielder, and defend with 3 player, the defenders and the midfielder.

First enduro tour

In the last weekend of September my father, my brother, and I did our first enduro tour, it was called “El Pacayaso”. There is a volcano here in Guatemala that is called Pacaya so the enduro tour was about going around it and climbing it a little bit.

It was a really cool experience because even though it was really fun, you needed a lot of technique and experience to make it. More than a hundred riders assisted to the event so it was a place where you could meet more people that share the same passion.

So here are a couple of videos for you to see some of the tour:

Sporta Punto Soccer

About two months ago I started going to Punto Soccer to play soccer.

It had been two months since I hadn’t play soccer and it was really good for me to play soccer again after a long time. It was hard for me to start playing soccer again because I felt kind of different, I felt that I didn’t play the same way. But after a month of playing I started to feel comfortable playing. Now we are starting a tournament that is called “Office Depot Cup”. We are all hoping thaf we do good and that we get to win it!

New motocross track

Last weekend we went with my dad to try a new motocross track in San Jose Pinula, Guatemala. It was kind of hard at first because it had been a rainy day the day before so it was slippery. But then when we got used to it we started to go faster and and we also started to jump a lot. One time when I was trying to hit a really big jump I fell kind of hard but I didn’t hurt myself to much.

Here is a video of the track:

Doing some enduro

With my dad and my brother we went on Sunday to do enduro in one of my uncles farm because he has a lot of places there to do enduro. It was kind of really hard because there were a lot of obstacles and parts where only a bike could go thru.

Here is the video:

First place!

On Sunday, July 26th was the 4th IJA race of the year. It was a really hard track because it was very technical and there were a lot of rocks hidden in the grass so if you would go to fast they can take you to the ground. But the thing is that I finished qnd I finished very well.

On Tuesday, August 6th was the trophy ceremony. I got the first place, and I think that with this win I can win the general overall if I get the first place in the last race. I couldn’t go to the ceremony but my brother received the trophy for me.

Here are some photos of the race and what I got for winning:

Doing a whip on my bike

This week I biked every day, I would bike from 30 to 45 minutes. This week I started practicing the whip on my bike (A whip is when you move the bike in the air to the side). At first it was really difficult because I was kind of scared of doing it. But when I first did it I wanted to try again and to do it better. I am not a pro already doing it but I think that if I keep practicing I will do it very well because I am also doing it on my dirt bike. Here is a video of me practicing the whip and some other things:

Biking in the forrest

I have been biking a lot now because I haven’t been able to go to my dirt bike training. Something that I am trying to improve in it is my resistance because before I would just do it from 30 to 45 minutes. Now I manage to bike one hour or more. I am also trying to improve going faster and more relaxed.

Here is a video of me biking this week:
